These terms cover your use of our websites: benbowlabs.com, timealoud.com and octothorpeapp.com, and the domains that redirect to them. Our apps, and any app or purchase offered on our websites, are covered by our Terms of Use; this page is only about the websites themselves.

Our websites are operated by Mapleworx Services Inc., carrying on business as Benbow Labs, a Canadian federal corporation located in Ontario, Canada.

You're welcome here. Read, link to us, quote us. Please don't:

• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to our websites or anything behind them;
• scrape them in a way that degrades them for anyone else;
• use our name, logo or app icons in a way that suggests we endorse you when we don't.

Everything on our websites — text, design, logos, app names and icons — belongs to us or our licensors. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy a website wholesale or use our branding as your own.

We try to keep our websites accurate and current. Availability, pricing and features described on them can change. What an app costs and what it does is set out in its official store listing (such as on Google Play) and on its page on benbowlabs.com.

Links to other sites, such as app stores, are for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.

Nothing on this page removes a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived. Everything below applies only to the extent the law allows.

If you live in Quebec, this section does not apply to you.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss or damage from your use of our websites that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our failing to take reasonable care, or for a website being temporarily unavailable.

What happens to information when you visit our websites is set out in the Website Privacy Notice. What our apps do with information, and what happens when you email us, is in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If you're a consumer, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws where you live, or of your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

We do not require arbitration, and we do not ask you to waive your right to bring or join a class proceeding.

We may update these terms; the date at the top reflects the current version. If you'd like a previous version, email us and we'll send it.
